Our history

The ESPAI-ICÀRIA project was born from the initiative and will of Isaac Coderch to create the distribution point for Barcelona as a reference,
a space created as a matrix for the commercial structure and its evolution to face future challenges.

A showroom capable of exciting you where you can see all the brands, products and options of our products for interior and exterior,
an event, exhibition and distribution space that will provide support and services to professionals linked to it.

The commercial structure, as well as the project, has been woven on a chain of values, including objective, commitment and loyalty,
With them, Carles Pérez was elected and together the rest has been built.

As for the origin of the name that gives it meaning,

• The word ICÀRIA is closely linked to the thoughts of utopians in the 19th century in Barcelona,
  ​​a group of thinkers and intellectuals led by Narcís Monturiol believed in the idea of ​​building another type of city and society.
  That experience disappeared in a few years, but the Cerdà plan of 1860 wanted to have a memory for those utopians and placed
  Avinguda d’Icària on the road that connected Poble Nou with Barcelona.
  It has a close relationship with the work carried out by architects since they spoke of the search for the perfect city.
